Child Development Associate (CDA) Preparation
What is a CDA?
A CDA is a Child Development Associated Credential. A person with a CDA is a professional working with young children. CDA candidates have proved to be competent in working with young children by completing all the requirements for the CDA credential. A CDA Credential is recognized by early childhood educators in the USA.
ChildreNiños Bilingual Education (CNBE) facilitates earning the CDA with the CDA Preparation Series of 5 Sessions that prepares CDA Candidates for their CDA Credential. CNBE prepares candidates for three types of CDA Credential: Infants and Toddlers (0-2 years), Preschool (3-5 years), and Home Care. All of the sessions can be either in English, Spanish, or Bilingual.
In addition to the required and optional CDA courses, individuals persuing a CDA credential must also take several Basic Child Care Training classes. Free Informational CDA Orientation classes explain the CDA program and the steps required to achieve a CDA Credential.
Most of the optional and required CDA courses and Basic Training courses are offered either free of charge or at a substantial discount to CNBE Members. For more information on becoming a CNBE Member and to fill out a CNBE Membership form, please click here.
